Chewing....

A little ass chewing never hurt anyone I don't think.  I have some good friends from college who are now pharmacists, why I didn't become one and have that salary I'll never know except that I remember the hell they went through in college with exams and I knew I didn't want that.

Anyway - Mom is up and EATING!!!  Yay!  She looks so much better than she did and I only had to get on one doctor about it.  *sigh* finally I got through to someone and they got her some drugs that will make her life a little easier.  Finally finally finally it's happening.  I did have to laugh that mom and dad both let me chew on the doctor and stood back and watched.  Thanks to Micci and Willie and Kim for being here as my witnesses!!  I was just plum po'd!

We are back on the road to recovery at this point.  I just told her I don't want to hold the bucket anymore but I do want a pizza and a beer.  I haven't had anything since I found my Starbucks.

You go girl! Good job.

Sis - YEAH! On top of everything else you've accomplished, you gave Leah a great sense of self!

Glad you're feeling better.

Love you,
Hollie

Hey Leah, Good to see that Lois is doing great. Sorry I haven't posted before. Lois looks great. You didn't say whether you guys came home today or not. Just hope that it is tomorrow so she can recover at home. It always feels better when you are at your own home and in your own bed. Our prayers have been with all of you. If there is anything we can do, please let us know. Love and kisses, Kurt, Candy and Rogene

Lois,
I can't imagine what a horrible day you've had. Thank God for Leah -- I think I'll call her if I ever have to have a medical procedure. We pray that tomorrow is better. Hang in there!

Leah...Somehow I can't beleive they haven't been listening to you (you're a little hard to ignore at times, and this is rightly one of them). Lois...You look great and I love the new hair accessories you've aquired (I'm jealous). Girl you need to take it slow and we'll work up to the fun stuff later when you're feelin' better. Remember, I'm going to be your entertainment while you're duck taped to the recliner. Just remember our thoughts and prayers are with you and we want you back for the "girl's gathering" get-together coming up in the oh-so-near-future. I love you honey, and you know all those state fair days of OT are open and at your beckon-call. See ya soon...tt

What a day! Well, at least Leah has them all straightened out!! (can I call on you when I'm sick?) A patient needs an advocate to speak up and glad you did, Leah. Like you said, you know your Mom, and kinda what works, so they should listen to you. Lois, glad you are eating!! That should help w/your strength and healing, too. I hope your meds don't interfere any more and you can go forward. Are you going to get home Sat.?
Well, will sign off. Thinking of you all -- always!!
Love, Charlotte :)
