We've MOVED!!!

Here's Mom wheeling down the hall with Paula her nurse in ICU today.  We've been moved to a private room. So, here's the deal I know you all want to send her something...she doesn't need it in braile, Brian, but she does like to know you're thinking of her.  I've read her all the comments and she knows I'm putting up these pictures so don't worry I'm not going to be slipped arsenic or anything. She's up watching tv and her eye is slowing starting open up and you can check it out maybe tomorrow.  She does have some double vision right now but Dr. Harris said he can fix that.  Physical Therapy was in and said that she doesn't need to see them...she's just fine.  What a long strange trip this has been!

Ok...here's the pictures.  Remember she's not the Lois you saw Monday or over the weekend or at the fair, but she's in there trust me!!!

That's the day after surgery.  The next ones are after the bandage came off...her haircut is bad but not too bad.

Now here's the incision

well, that's all for now.  Not sure why this is doing this funky writing but it is...oh well.  Mom's great...enjoy.

Lois, I'm so happy to see you awake and smiling. I think it looks like a rough week at the fair!!! You're beautiful no matter what. We could get you one of those bright colored hats like that one lady at halls the other day. But then you would have to get a tatoo an your but and cut holes in all your pants!! When you get home let me know if you need anything. I would love to cook you guys dinner some night when you can have real food. I'm not quite as good as mom but I come in a close 2nd.

Lots of love and hugs,
Gina.

Oh, you poor thing. It makes me hurt to look at you, but I am so thankful to be able to look at you, that it is OK that I am looking at pictures of you and w/your "battle wounds." :) You know -- this will only last a short while and you will be good as new -- if not better!! I can see that smile and spirit come through and that makes me feel good. I have been gone all day and just went to the blog, so that is why you haven't heard from me today yet. You are always on my mind, though. Keep healing and keep smiling.
Saturday -- will be a hard day, but what a great day, too. Getting home will be great. Let others help you, now! I will try to come over after you've been home for awhile. OK? Leah can give me advice on that.
Love you Lois! Charlotte :)

Hi Guffeys

Lois, glad to see pics of you and glad all went well, and Leah, thank you for keeping us informed. I let mom know about everything I read on here, and she has relayed the info to the ladies at our church, as they have all been praying for you guys. I am thinking of you all and love you guys!

If you get a hat, be sure to get an official "Red Hat Society" one. I'm sure Grammy would let you borrow one if she still has one. No one pays attention to those ladies anymore so you would fit right in. Hope you get to come home this weekend. Take it easy and let everyone take care of you. It's your turn to be waited on hand and foot. Love you lots! DDJT

Sis - am TICKLED to see that grin. But Steve, the wuss, didn't think the pictures were something he wanted to see (he looked, but didn't want to)! I'll give you a week, then plan on heading north to see you. Am SO SO SO happy things have worked out so well. Be good, do what they tell you, and YOU be the princess for a while.

Leah, thanks for passing on the IM's this morning. You're a terrific daughter!

Love you both,
Hollie

Wow! Those pictures are really amazing. You guys are so blessed. I can't help but cry as I am reading this blog, it is just a miracle. Those pictures are wonderful, they look as if you have been weeks since the surgery.
Take care, Tiffany Isbell (Callahan)
